Academic Plan

Good Standing in the Chapter: 2.5 GPA

Academic Committee:
Each committee member is responsible for developing and maintaining an academic plan for members that are not in good standing as assigned by the VPAD. Each committee member is responsible for holding study hours.

One or two members of the academic committee will develop and maintain a new member academic plan for each term. This consists of study hours, goal setting, informing members of resources on campus, and matching mew members with mentors.

Goal Setting: Each member should set a GPA goal and the chapter should set a GPA goal. Our chapter goal is 3.0. There is a personal goal sheet for each member to fill out.

Letter to new member parents about new member plan and expectations.

Each member in academic difficulty will meet one on one with the VPAD or a member of her committee to discuss an individual academic program. They must meet once a month. Members in academic difficulty are defined as below a 2.5 overall or a semester GPA of 2.5

Study Hours: Study hours are mandatory as listed below and based on overall GPA.

2 hours a week: 2.75-2.99
3 hours a week: 2.50-2.74
4 hours a week: 2.0-2.49
6 hours a week: 1.5-1.90
8 hours a week: .00-1.49

At least half of the hours earned each week must be from a study proctor session or an academic committee member.

Mentor Mentee Program consists of each academic committee member and their assigned mentees by the VPAD (Includes new members and members in academic difficulty).
